Operating out of Gdańsk, Poland, Marceli Azra’s practice treats garments
not as traditional fashion, but as a rigid "second skin" or a
restrictive carapace. Through the manipulation of upcycled heavy
fabrics, asymmetrical cuts, and exposed industrial hardware, the
designer explores the visual violence of tailoring. The studio’s focus
is on structural tension—the raw, unresolved dialogue between the human
silhouette and the weight of the materials that confine it.
